Christmas

Well we had a great Christmas! We woke up to a very white, cold day. It snowed all day, almost. But it was great! The kids got nice warm jammies, from grandma the night before, and decided to wear them all day Christmas. They got new princess dresses, (they dress in and out of them all day everyday), so they were excited to get new ones! Ryan went crazy over his dart gun. He is so obsessed with toy guns. We had a great day with our family. The kids had so much fun playing and were so happy. Daniel's mom had a big breakfast. Later that night the kids stayed at Grandma's house and we went to the movies with Daniel's sister and her husband.

Christmas

Every year on Christmas Eve we go to Daniel's parents house. We eat yummy food and have a little show from the kids(they act out the manger scene)! Hailey was a Mary, Ashley was an Angel and Ryan was suppose to be a shepherd, but he wouldn't do it (little stinker). We also draw names in the family and we exchange those gifts Christmas Eve.

Tis the Season for Family

We have had a fun last week! Our Fireplace has had a lot of use, we have been watching movies as a family, and eating bubble gum ice cream around the fire. The kids love doing fires! Ryan climbed way up in our cupboard last night and got the matches. Thank goodness he didn't try to light one, because he knows how to. He got a big talk about not playing with matches. All night he kept saying "match, burn, die, daddy do". It was pretty cute! The kids also went to grandma's house to decorate cookies in their cute aprons that grandma made for them. They had a great time, and my camera battery died right when we got there, so I didn't get any pictures. The girls also got to go with grandma to the movies, they went to see Enchanted. They loved it! We can't wait for Christmas! We have just been having fun as a family! I love this season it makes me remember how thankful for my family. I don't know what I would do without my husband and kids.

Who drives when you're together? Daniel does, I hate driving when we are together because he criticizes my driving, and tells me what to do!
Who's the first to admit when they're wrong? Daniel does, I'm pretty stubborn sometimes and It's never my fault(J/K)!!
Who proposed? Neither of us really proposed we just talked about it and knew we were getting married, and I went with him to buy the ring. I know how romantic, huh!!
Who has more friends? Probably pretty even! I keep in touch with more of my friends, though!
Who has more siblings? Daniel has 8 siblings and I have 4.
Who wears the pants in the family? Daniel does. I am pretty easy going and I just go along with whatever he wants usually, because I think what he thinks most of the time. He is definitely a leader and I think he is a good one so I follow! But I also don't let him tell me what to do, I can be stubborn!

Busy Day

Today was Daniels birthday! A big 27 years old! We started the day by going to Denny's for breakfast. The kids and I went to Daniel's moms for a few hours to make Christmas candy with all us girls in the family, and Daniel's aunt and all her daughters. Then Daniel's sister Rachel took the girls to Disney Princess's on ice. They had a great time. She's a great aunt to take them. While they were gone we dropped Ryan off at Grandma's house, then we were off on a Date. We went to dinner then went and finished all our Christmas shopping. What a day!

I had to post pictures of the girls! They dressed all up, and Aunt Rachel did their hair so cute! Ashley's hair looked really cute too, but it is hard to see in the pictures! They looked so pretty!

Family Photo

This is Daniel's side of the family. We take one each year, and every year their are at least 3 new people. Pretty soon there's going to be so many people and kids it will be so hard to get them all to look good. This year everyone actually looks pretty good!

Hailey's Haircut

Since we got back from Arizona, Hailey has been begging to get her hair cut like her cousin Kadee. So we finally let her. Her hair was getting so long so it was hard to do. But I actually like it better short.

Trip to Arizona

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving. I hardly took any pictures. I wish I had taken more. It was great seeing my family! Seeing them once or twice a year isn't enough! Everyone but me got sick so we weren't able to see some friends that we wanted to.

My kids had fun seeing all their cousins. They especially had fun with my sisters puppies. They wanted one so bad!


We went to mesa on our way home. My parents came with us and we were able to see the Temple lights. It was great spending time with my parents. My kids got my dad sick so they had to leave Mesa early but it was great that they came with us!

Visiting our Cousins

Over the weekend we drove to Wyoming to visit our cousins Tanya, Wade, Avery and Weston. My kids love them so much! We had a great time.

Hailey had a great time with Avery! They all loved little Weston but I didn't get a picture of him.

They are definitely my kids favorite! Who else would let them jump on their couch!!

Church

This is a picture of our new church building. It is so pretty, it is just built right in between other buildings. We really like it so far. We don't really feel like missionaries, we still haven't done anything yet. We finally met the bishop and he basically said we just need to come and be part of the ward. Daniel got a calling he is the Elders Quorum teacher once a month. I haven't got one yet. My kids love it! Ryan has done so good in nursery. Before we came to the new ward he would scream every week in his old nursery. He really likes his new one, which is a big relief to me. I was so worried because he doesn't take to change very well. There are about 5 kids in his nursery. The girls love getting so much attention in primary. There are like 4 primary leader for the 7 kids. 2 of the kids are moving in 2 weeks so it will be a lot smaller. They keep saying how glad they are that we got called there because they need the kids so much!

Halloween Party

We went to our ward Halloween Party on Friday night. The kids loved it there were 4 different rooms to go to for games.

Ashley tried and tried to get an apple. She was so determined she finally got one!

Hailey loved the doughnut game. She was really good at it, too!

When we were leaving we got in the elevator and all the kids went and sat right down. I think they were all exhausted! Our niece, Syriana and her dad, came with us.

Business Meeting

Thursday night Daniel and I went to a BBB business event. It was pretty good. They had and excellent speaker! The food was great! Since we were all dressed up nice, we had Daniel's sister take a pic of us. It was kind of fun dressing real nice and actually doing my hair for once!

Happy Birthday Ryan

Ryan turned 2 on Tuesday! I know his cake look weird but the frosting wouldn't write good and the girls decorated it with all the cars.

The cake actually tasted really good! I mixed cool whip in the frosting and it was so yummy!

Ryan started stabbing the cake with his sword and then licking it off. It was pretty funny!

I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He has such a funny personality!

Update on New Calling

Ok, so I know I have a lot of posts today, but I wanted to update on our new missionary calling. Well yesterday was our first Sunday in our new ward. It was very different than we thought it was going to be like. It is really small and everyone was really friendly. Their primary basically doubled with my kids coming. They were so excited to have more kids there. My girls were kind of nervous but they had so much fun! We still haven't met the bishop, he has been out of town, so we don't know exactly what he wants us to be doing yet. The ward has a ton of inactives so we might be trying to reactivate. But for now I guess they just want us coming to make the ward a little bigger with our family. I will update more about it as we find out more.

Fall Is Definitely Here

I guess its finally time to get the rake out! It rained all weekend here and it was windy. This is how my whole front yard looks! The trees still have half their leafs still on it, so even more leafs will be falling!

Ryan got a little sleepy! Daniel rode for about 20 minutes with Ryan asleep between him and Hailey, most of the trails were really rocky and rough!

ATV trip to the Mountains

We went four wheeling in the mountains with our friends on Saturday. It was a great day, the weather was good. We had so much fun!

The mountains behind us have little lakes, they are hard to see in the picture. Have I convinced anyone to come visit yet?! If anyone does want to come we will do fun stuff like this!

News!

I didn't have any good pictures to post from the weekend but we got some exciting news at church yesterday, that I wanted to share. Earlier last week our Stake President called us and said he wanted to meet with Daniel and I when we got to church. We figured the reason he wanted to see us was for us to be in charge of a youth activity of something. Daniel has been in the young mens for almost the whole time we have been married, so we figured it had to do with the youth, but it didn't. The stake president asked us to accept a 1 year mission call for the whole family! We will stay here but we will go to a ward down town denver for a year! The ward is really small. We feel so priviledged that they chose us. Our responsibilities will be to help however we can. We will need to help the missionaries however we can, we will need to fellowship investigators and new members, we will have callings there, too. At first I was nervous thinking how can I help I have 3 crazy kids. Daniel didn't get to go on a mission so this is our chance to make up for it. It was crazy going to church, finding out that was our last Sunday in the ward we have been in for 6 years. We got released and we had to speak in Sacrament meeting. It was a crazy day. After church we went to the new church building with our stake president to meet our new stake president, and they set us apart. I was so emotional all day, and I usually don't show my emotions like that but I knew it was right and that is where the Lord wants us to be right now. Daniel and I knew we would go on a mission someday but we thought it would be when we were old! The new church building it awesome, it is really close to down town and it is 4 stories high. It has an elevator! I have never seen a building like this. Well sorry this is so long, I know I am probably boring everyone, but I am just so excited. I know this call is to strengthen our testimonies, too. We need it! We will start going after general conference, we can't wait to get started! I will update more once we get started!

Potty Treat

Ryan is eating his sucker he got for his potty treat. He is doing so good on his potty training! He still wont tell me when he needs to go all the time, but as long as I remember he does great.

Temple

We went boating yesterday evening, it was great! Daniel's sister and her husband came with us.

My Cutie Pies

Don't they all look so innocent! They look like they all love eachother so much! That was the only moment of the day, they have all been all fighting so much.

Life

I never write what's been going on in our day to day life so I decided to write about what our last week has been like. Ashley was really sick and missed a few days of school.


All Hailey has wanted to do is color for the past week, which is fine with me because it keeps her out of trouble!


I have been potty training Ryan for the past 5 days. He would not go for the first few days but then yesterday he went all day in the big potty! I was so excited! Hopefully he will keep doing it and actually tell me when he needs to go! I know it seems like he's kind of young still but he is definitely ready!

As for us, Daniel has been super busy at work. The business is doing really good. I have been trying to get in shape and lose my extra weight. I have been jogging and cutting down on the carbs. It has been working good so far, but it gets so tiring. And all I want is some dang chocolate chip cookies!

Zoo

Thanks Jolyn for the great idea to go to the zoo! We haven't been to our zoo in almost 2 years. I forgot my camera but Daniel took this picture on his phone. I don't know why we took it in front of the Buffalo. There was alot cooler animals we could have taken pics of! Oh well!

Courtney

This is my niece Courtney! Some of you may remember her so just thought I'd share so you can see how pretty and grown up she is.

Congratulations Kyle

This is my nephew Kyle and his girlfriend. He got baptized on Aug. 31st!! We are so happy for him!

Camping with Hannah

This weekend we went camping in South Fork, Co. My good friend Hannah and her little family came from Texas to camp for vacation there. We had a great time! It has been 6 years since I have seen Hannah. The kids all got along good! We had such a fun time catching up on our different lives.
