Hailey caught this snake and the kids all had fun holding it. They named it "Neeki"! They even got an ice chest and put a blanket in the bottom. They wanted to keep it for a pet, but we wouldn't let them so they let it go by the wood pile.

I remember those days, I was fearless with them but somehow grew up and got afraid of them....don't ask me? Your girls look too girly to be grabbing them, you go Hailey!! I have to ask is Ryan scared or excited? Either way he is such a cutie!
I don't think that I would be brave enough to hold the snake. Seeing these pictures reminded me of a story about a dead mouse that the dog brought into our house. I was too chicken to pick it up so I told Stevie if she picked it up I would give her a piece of candy. She had no problem with throwing it away for me. Anything for a piece of candy.
Yuck! That would be a dead snake! My kids still laugh at the memories of when we lived in Pinetop and whenever we would get a snake in the back yard they would watch me through the kitchen window running around like a maniac with a shovel until I caught and ended the snakes existence. Sorry, when it comes to rodents and reptiles, I have zero compassion.
I used to like them as a kid to i think, but will have nothing to do with them now. Enjoy the moments when your girls want to get down and dirty they won't last I'm sure. They sure are cute though.
