We took a road trip to San Diego. It took us about 14 hours to get there but it was so worth it! The kids were so good on the drive. We left last Wed. and drove half way, then drove the rest on Thurs. Our kids had never seen the Ocean so we just had to go! I grew up going to California almost every year to visit my grandma and we took vacations to San Diego. I love going there! We only stayed 3 nights. We got a nice hotel on the beach, for not to bad of a price. It was so fun! We went to Sea World one of the days. The kids loved it! If anyone hasn't been to Sea World you need to go. I went a few times when I was younger and I still enjoyed it just as much
as an adult! The next day we hung out at the beach all day and swam in the hotel swimming pool. The ocean water was too cold for me and Ryan, but Daniel and the girls got in it for a while! The weather was so good while we were there!
The pictures above are when we first got there, we had to go walk on the beach first thing because the kids were so excited to see it!

The dolphin and shamoo shows! It is so amazing the tricks the dolphins and the whales can do! We sat in the soak zone, they weren't kidding we got soaked!!

I love the San Diego Temple, it has always been my favorite! The girls thought it looked like a huge princess castle!
After we left California we drove back through Az and stopped at my parents house for 2 days! It was great seeing my family and my sisters! It was a very short visit and I was in serious pain most of the time. I had a root canal in one of my teeth about 10 years ago and the dentist didn't clear all 3 canals, he only did 2. So 10 years later I got an infection up in the canal that wasn't cleared and it was awful. It made the whole side of my face swell and it gave me a migraine. It was the worst pain, I couldn't eat or sleep. I am doing much better now that I am home. I got a strong Antibiotic and pain killers and the swelling has gone down!

HOW FUN, we went to sea world and stayed in san diego for a week when I was pregnant with landen. I had soo much fun at sea world I can't waite to go back. We are for sure going at least to the beach since it is only 5/6 hours from here. I love imagining how the ocean looks in the eyes of your children, you can tell they loved it. Hope your tooths infection goes away, that sounds REALLY painful.
The soak zone was the best part of Sea World to my kids! We actually were on the very front row, we stood in line for almost 2 hrs. to get those seats. Boy, did we get soaked!! Good thing it was the last event we went to that day!! Glad your tooth is better.
I'm jealous, I want to go to Sea world. I haven't been there in years. You guys are definately brave to drive that far with your kids. Those are cute pics of your family, but they are much cuter in person!
That looks like so much fun! It's been a veeeerry long time since I went to Sea World. It would be nice to go to a warm beach. The Oregon Coast is rarely warm but always windy enough for kite flying.
Great pictures. I hear Sea World. I agree the temple is beautiful.
