We had a nice Christmas this year but I haven't been very good about taking good pictures! We started a new tradition this year and had our kids draw names with each other. Then they did jobs for us and earned money to buy the person they drew a gift. So the night before Christmas Eve we let them exchange their gifts! They loved it and I think it went very well.
Ryan had Ashley and he got her some glitter gel pens and this metallic neon marker set.
Corbin had Hailey and he picked out a tea set for her dolls and those awesome socks for her.
Ashley had Ryan and she got him a lego set.
Hailey had Corbin and got him a Doctors set.
Christmas Eve we went over to Daniel's parents and ate lots of good food did the family gift exchange and the kids did the nativity program for us! Ashley did the reading, Hailey was an Angel, and Ryan and Corbin were shepherds!
Had to take a picture Christmas Morning of the tree and presents before the kids came out!Looking through their stockings!
Ashley and some of her gifts!
Hailey and her bitty twins, and some of her gifts.
Ryan with his stuff!
Corbin loved his tool bench so much we could hardly get him to open his other stuff!

Big Boy Now
So Corbin is all completely potty trained now! I am so proud of him! I started last Tuesday and he had one accident that day, then one the next day and he hasn't had any since. He is even trained at night time too! I started all my kids right when they turned 2, and in March when Corbin turned 2 he wouldn't do it, he threw a fit every time. So I waited a few months and finally I decided to get it over with! I can't believe I will never have to deal with diapers again! He is just growing up too fast! Here he is playing with his new toy dad bought him for doing so good!
Here is a little clip of him saying his ABC's. You can tell at the beginning he was mad at me. I was trying to get him to say them and he wouldn't so I started putting my camera away and he got mad and decided to do it.

Ryan's Birthday
These kids just wont stop growing up on me! Ryan's Birthday was on Sunday and he turned the big 6! Here's a little about his birthday celebrations! Earlier last week Daniel took the day off and Ryan got to skip school so they could hang out! They walked to the bus stop and rode it down town. Here's a picture of them on their way out!
On Friday Daniel and I bought him a new bike while he was at school and gave it to him early after we picked him up! He loved it but still is getting use to braking with his hands and not feet!
We always let the kids choose a place they want to go out to eat on their birthdays. So on Saturday Ryan chose Burger King for breakfast to get his favorite french toast sticks! On Sunday his actual birthday we let him open his other presents before church. He got a new lego set, art set, and a spy guy voice changer! His sisters got him cotton candy, and slappy hand thing! He was happy!
Ryan is really good at lego building!
Later that day we went to grandma's house and had pizza for dinner and cake and ice cream. Ryan's aunt Anna has the same birthday so she had little debbie snack cakes, and Ryan chose to have an ice cream cake from dairy queen.
He also got a spy kit from Grandma Jensen that he REALLY wanted, and money from Grandma Cottam and Grandma Wilson.
Ryan is such a good kid! He is such a boy with all his weapons, guns and boy stuff, but then he has a tender side of him. He has a fun personality! We are so blessed to have him in our family! He had a great birthday and he deserved every bit of it!

My weird rules!
I am updating with no pictures....sorry! But I needed to vent and it will be too long for facebook! So today one of Ryan's friend from school his mom asked if Ryan could come over next week after school and I told her sure but we don't do play dates alone yet. I said I could have the rest of my kids go to grandma's and Ryan and I could come over. Well I guess she didn't like that because she said her daughter had to take a nap during that time and that's why she thought the boys could just play so it wont work that day. I guess she didn't want me there too. I felt so weird but seriously it is not that weird to want to do everything you can to protect your children! We did this and still do with our girls too! We decided to do this with our kids and we are not going back on it! You can't trust people these days! So then after school Hailey calls her friend and her mom wanted to talk to me. She invited Hailey to a party on a Sunday, so I kindly told her that is our church/family day and we don't do things like that on Sunday. So her mom said well that is why we are doing it later so people could go to church first, she is going to be so mad that Hailey can't make it. I did feel bad saying no but seriously she should respect that. This isn't the 1st time we have had to tell people this before either, I have had to explain my rules to a lot of people. Oh well! I just wish people didn't think I was so weird because we have these rules for our kids. I'm not going to just let my kids go to people's houses alone that I don't know very well just to not offend them and I am not going to break our Sunday rules either. Please tell me I'm not the only weird one that has rules like this?!
