Ryan's Birthday

These kids just wont stop growing up on me! Ryan's Birthday was on Sunday and he turned the big 6! Here's a little about his birthday celebrations! Earlier last week Daniel took the day off and Ryan got to skip school so they could hang out! They walked to the bus stop and rode it down town. Here's a picture of them on their way out!

On Friday Daniel and I bought him a new bike while he was at school and gave it to him early after we picked him up! He loved it but still is getting use to braking with his hands and not feet!

We always let the kids choose a place they want to go out to eat on their birthdays. So on Saturday Ryan chose Burger King for breakfast to get his favorite french toast sticks! On Sunday his actual birthday we let him open his other presents before church. He got a new lego set, art set, and a spy guy voice changer! His sisters got him cotton candy, and slappy hand thing! He was happy!

Ryan is really good at lego building!

Later that day we went to grandma's house and had pizza for dinner and cake and ice cream. Ryan's aunt Anna has the same birthday so she had little debbie snack cakes, and Ryan chose to have an ice cream cake from dairy queen.

He also got a spy kit from Grandma Jensen that he REALLY wanted, and money from Grandma Cottam and Grandma Wilson.
Ryan is such a good kid! He is such a boy with all his weapons, guns and boy stuff, but then he has a tender side of him. He has a fun personality! We are so blessed to have him in our family! He had a great birthday and he deserved every bit of it!

My weird rules!

I am updating with no pictures....sorry! But I needed to vent and it will be too long for facebook! So today one of Ryan's friend from school his mom asked if Ryan could come over next week after school and I told her sure but we don't do play dates alone yet. I said I could have the rest of my kids go to grandma's and Ryan and I could come over. Well I guess she didn't like that because she said her daughter had to take a nap during that time and that's why she thought the boys could just play so it wont work that day. I guess she didn't want me there too. I felt so weird but seriously it is not that weird to want to do everything you can to protect your children! We did this and still do with our girls too! We decided to do this with our kids and we are not going back on it! You can't trust people these days! So then after school Hailey calls her friend and her mom wanted to talk to me. She invited Hailey to a party on a Sunday, so I kindly told her that is our church/family day and we don't do things like that on Sunday. So her mom said well that is why we are doing it later so people could go to church first, she is going to be so mad that Hailey can't make it. I did feel bad saying no but seriously she should respect that. This isn't the 1st time we have had to tell people this before either, I have had to explain my rules to a lot of people. Oh well! I just wish people didn't think I was so weird because we have these rules for our kids. I'm not going to just let my kids go to people's houses alone that I don't know very well just to not offend them and I am not going to break our Sunday rules either. Please tell me I'm not the only weird one that has rules like this?!

Happy Father's Day

Picture of my Dad and Corbin

Just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to my dad! He is the best! I hope he has a great day because he deserves it! Some of my favorite things about my dad are:

*He is a good example, he does what is right and is always honest.

*He taught me things growing up, like how to manage my money and how to check my oil in my car, all those kinds of things!

*He treats my mom good and was always loving to her.

*He is a hard worker (still works full time to this day).

*He always did and still does makes sure that I know that he loves me.

*He is a good grandpa to my kids, he likes to spend time with them, and he even lets my girls "do" his hair! He is fun with them!

There is so much more! I am thankful that I was blessed to have such a good dad!

My girls' birthdays

On May 29th Ashley turned 9 years old! I can't believe my 1st baby is that old! She has grown into such smart fun girl! Here are a few pictures, I feel like I didn't get any really good ones. Her birthday was on a Sunday and she had to hurry and open her presents before church.

This was her big gift! She wanted scriptures with her name on them so bad! I love the look on her face, she looks so shocked!

Giving her little brother a hug, so cute! Corbin kept say Happy Birthday Day Ashley!

She loves Hot Fries and 3 muskateers! She got also got some other good stuff but I didn't get pictures.

Hailey turned 8 on June 6th! I can't believe these girls growing up so fast! Hailey's baptism is scheduled for July 2nd. Hailey is such a sweet and loving girl!
Hailey got a new bike for her birthday! She needed a bigger one so she got a nice one like her sister got last year. She looks too small for it but she can actually ride it really well. She was very excited and had no idea! Here is a picture of her and Ashley all ready for a bike ride!
Hailey loves Hot Fries too! She got peanut butter cups to go with it!
What girl doesn't like new clothes! Hailey is so easy to shop for!
Big smile!
